Captain Cashfall Megaways Design
The design of the slot is not very different from the original game. The background is made of the same planks of a sailing ship. On the left of the grid, you will see a pile of gold coins. The grid is set underwater and you will see the bottom of the ocean as a background around the symbols.
There are 3 trails for the bonus features on the right of the screen. The soundtrack is strange and keeps the action alive. The symbols include thickly framed card royals, blue fish, the captain, helms and several others. The graphics are nice but not very detailed or exceptional.
Captain Cashfall Megaways Gameplay
To win in the game you need to match 2 to 6 symbols on adjacent reels from left to right. The winning symbols disappear from the grid and trigger a cascade and a chain reaction. New symbols will pop from above to fill the free spaces. The spin sequence goes on as long as there are new wins.
The symbols include low-paying card royals and 3 premiums. The cards from 10 through to A award from 0.8 to 2 times your bet for 5 of a kind combinations. The premiums are a ship’s wheel, a blue fish and a Capt’n tuna can. Their payouts are 4 times your stake for 6 of a kind on successive reels. When any of the 3 premium symbols appear with golden frames, they have a dual function. These act as paying symbols and scatters at the same time, which light up and fill the corresponding trail.
The most profusely paying symbol is Captain Cashfall. Getting 6 of it in a paying combination gives you 40 times your stake. Mrs Cashfall is the wild and it appears on the top horizontal reel only. As expected, it substitutes for all regular missing symbols. The captain’s dog is marked with the word ‘Free Spins’ and is the scatter. It can land on the main grid only. There is a mystery symbol and it is the ship’s anchor.
Captain Cashfall Megaways Features & Bonuses
Like the original slot, Captain Cashfall Megaways is packed of extra features. First of them is the Mine Sweeper, which can appear at random on any spin. When this happens, all card symbols on the screen will be removed for the duration of the spin. Their places will take premium symbols. This gives you great chances to pocket big wins. The cascades are in play as are in all stages of the gameplay.
During the base game and free spins, you can land the Mystery symbol, which happens by chance at the end of any spin. When a random number of them land on the screen, they reveal a common symbol also selected by chance. It can be any except for the wild or scatter.
Every time you land the helm, tuna can or blue fish with golden frames, they will be added to their respective trail on the right of the screen. When you fill any of the meters, the respective feature will get triggered. You can change your bet and this won’t affect your progress towards the trails, as they are not bet sensitive. The features they trigger are these:
- Fish Trail – Reel’em In: when you activate it, three ship wheels will appear with blue, red and green fish. You will receive 10 spins with payouts of 1x average bet for combinations of any fish. Getting 3 green fish pays 5x stake, 3 blue fish – 10x stake and 3 red fish gives you 25x stake. The highest win you can get here is 250 times your average bet.
- Capt’n Tuna Can Trail– Cans of Cash: you will see a conveyor belt with cans. They will start moving after you press the start button. You will see are plenty of trap doors along the belt. Cans will fall through them awarding you a bet multiplier of 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x or 30x your average bet. These are used to fill the trail. This mini-game ends when the conveyor belt breaks down.
- Ship Wheel Trail – Wheel House Fortune: you will see the captain along with a giant prize wheel with multipliers. They range from 2x to 50x. You will spin the wheel. Every time it stops on a multiplier, it will be added to the multiplier you already have for the round. At random, the lowest in value sections will be replaced with STOP sections. If you land on one of them, the bonus game will come to an end. Then, the accumulated multiplier will be applied to your average bet used for the collection.
Landing 4 scatters on the reels within one spin sequence triggers 10 Free Spins. Each extra scatter apart from the 4 ones gives you 5 more free spins. These rounds start with an x1 win multiplier. It increases by x1 after a winning reaction without limits. During free spins, a crab plays the role of the scatter and it lands on the top horizontal reel only. Hitting 3 or 4 crab scatters give you 5 or 10 extra free spins respectively.
You will have treasure chest symbols added to the main reels in free spins. If you get 3 of them in a spin sequence, they will move to the front and let you pick one of them. The treasure chests will reveal an extra cash prize. It will be added to the total of your winnings in the bonus game.
