The Design

Spin-Vention is a retro-themed and aimed at the future steampunk slot. It offers a lot of gadgets, fluorescent electrical lights and inventions. The game is set onboard a flying ship with clouds seen drifting behind the reels. The playing setup is made to represent an automatic cash creating machine.

There are 5 reels and a top row above them with 5 symbols over them. These are flanked by electric lights from electricity running through the machine. On the reels, you will see 3 characters – a robot, a lady scientist and the main inventor Sir Lucien Callan.

There are clock detonators, cube and standard wilds, gears and other gadgets. The melody that plays during the rounds is melodic. It creates a mysterious atmosphere and merges you into the adventure. The top reel that spins horizontally can contain various special symbols. These are modifiers and trigger extra features. The images of the symbols are colourful, bright and unique.

Spin-Vention Gameplay

Spin-Vention has 6 standard symbols, 1 standard wild and 9 special symbols. To get wins you need 3 to 5 of a kind symbols on a pay-line landed left to right and starting from reel 1.

The light bulb, gear and other gadgets have the lowest value of all. These pay equally – 0.10, 0.25 and 0.50x bet for 3, 4 and 5 matching symbols on a line. The premiums are the robot invention, the lady scientist and Sir Lucien Callan. The lady explorer and the robot pay 0.50, 1 and 2.50x bet for 3, 4 and 5. The most rewarding of all symbols is that of Sir Lucien Callan. It grants wins of 0.75, 1.50 and 4 times the stake for 3, 4 and 5 on a line.

The standard wild symbol has the word itself and ensures wins of 1, 2 and 10 times your stake for 3, 4 and 5 on a line. It substitutes for all except for the special symbols. The latter are 7 in the base game and 2 more during the Pick Bonus. The cube symbol is a second wild. It substitutes for the standard symbols and wild but not for the other special ones.

Spin-Vention Features / Bonuses

Spin-Vention includes plenty of features in the base game, free spins and bonus games. One of them is the Prize Line feature, which is active in the base game, during the Pick Bonus and free spins. Above the reels, you can see an extra row, on which land only special feature symbols.

At the beginning of each spin, the leftmost special feature symbol and any others from the previous bet disappear from the grid. The rest of these special symbols shift left and fill the empty spaces on the extra horizontal reel. New special symbols appear from the right until all 5 positions on the top row get filled.

Six special feature symbols can land above the reels. They include the blue globe and the two pink wild-labelled symbols. Among them, there is a symbol with gold coins and a number. It gives you credits equal to its displayed value, which ranges between 2 and 100 times your bet.

The pink symbol with the bottom-pointing arrow and the word ‘WILD’ on it transforms all the symbols on the reels below it into standard wilds. There is a similar pink symbol with the word ‘WILD’ and two crossing arrows. It transforms random symbols on the grid into standard wilds. Their number is equal to the number written on that symbol, which can range from 3 to 20.

This means that between 3 and 20 symbols can turn into wilds on a spin from that symbol modifier. These two special symbols give you more wilds. This results in potentially more and better winning combinations. After all, the wild is the best paying of the symbols in the game.

The green special symbol multiplies all your awarded credits on the current bet by the amount displayed on that symbol. It can have a value of x2, x3, x4, x5, or x10. You can have more than 1 green special symbols appear on the extra top reel. In such a case, their amounts are multiplied by each other and increase your wins. The green symbol multiplies the wins from the Free Spins Bonus and the Pick Bonus after these rounds are completed.

The turquoise globe special symbol activates the Pick Bonus. It gives you a random number of lives that are equal to the number displayed on it. In case you have more than 1 globe special symbols on the same spin, the Pick Bonus will play more times sequentially.

Choosing a gear symbol may also reveal a detonator symbol. Each of these symbols reduces the number of pick bonus lives by 1, so you don’t really want to get it.
