Monopoly Money is a Megaways release from Big Time Gaming, the studio that created the mechanic. Its 6 reels show between 2 and 7 symbols each, and because this number changes on every spin, the paylines shift with it, peaking at 117,649. High volatility means wins can be irregular, though the top prize reaches 29,700x the bet. The RTP is 96.51%, slightly above the usual benchmark. Betting range is narrow, starting at €0,20 and limited to €10,00 per spin, which may not suit players who prefer larger stakes.

Monopoly Money borrows heavily from the board game it is named after. The grid itself is framed to look like a Monopoly board, and the premium symbols are gold versions of the classic tokens, such as the dog, the car, the ship and the hat. The lower-paying 9-A ranks appear as colourful crystal shapes. Behind the reels, a night-time city skyline of tall buildings sits beneath a sky full of bright stars. The soundtrack keeps to the same style and fits the overall presentation well.

Paying Symbols: Wins are paid when matching symbols land on adjacent reels, counting from the leftmost reel to the right. Symbols can vary in height, and for each combination only the highest win is paid before all winning combinations are totalled.
Wild Symbols: Wilds land on reels 2 to 6 only and can replace any symbol apart from Cards and Scatters.
Card Types: Cards are the game’s bonus symbols, and each type has its own job during the Hold and Spin:

A Credit Prize adds 15x to 25x the stake to Mr Monopoly’s value, which may let him collect more Title Deeds and keep the feature going. A Restart wipes the screen and starts the Hold and Spin again, with Mr Monopoly keeping his current value.

Hold and Spin: The Hold and Spin is triggered by 6 or more Cards landing anywhere on the reels, with a display above the grid tracking the first 6 as they appear. When the feature begins, each position on the grid becomes an individual reel capable of revealing Cards.
Mr Monopoly stays on screen throughout, starting with a random value of 5x to 14x the stake. Whenever a Title Deed lands with a value equal to or below his, he collects it and adds it to his total. As his value rises, he becomes able to take larger Title Deeds.

Three Money Bags above the reels act as the round’s lifeline. One is lost each time a spin passes without a new Card landing or being collected, and each collected Card returns a bag, up to a limit of 3. The feature finishes in one of three ways: all Money Bags run out, Title Deeds cover every position, or the Monopoly Bonus is won. Mr Monopoly’s final value is then paid out.
The Monopoly Bonus is awarded for collecting Title Deeds in every colour within a single Hold and Spin. It pays between 1,000x and 2,500x the stake and immediately ends the round.

Free Spins: Hitting 3 or more Scatters anywhere on the reels awards 12 Free Spins, with 2 extra spins for each Scatter beyond the third. During the round, 3 or more Scatters add another 4 spins, again with 2 more for every additional Scatter.
Mr Monopoly takes part here as well, beginning with a random value of up to 15x the stake. He collects any Title Deed worth the same as or less than his current value, and each one he takes increases the Megaways Win Multiplier by 1.
This multiplier starts at 1 and applies to regular symbol wins, so every Title Deed collected boosts line wins as well as his own total. Landing 5 or more Cards at once triggers the Hold and Spin from inside Free Spins, and Mr Monopoly’s final value is paid when the round ends.
Power Play & Bonus Buy: Power Play is an optional mode that costs 8x the stake and guarantees at least 10,000 Megaways on every spin.

Both bonus rounds can also be bought outright. Prices are based on the Free Spins Stake, which also sets the stake used for each spin in the round:
What sets Monopoly Money apart is how closely its two bonus rounds are linked through Mr Monopoly. In both the Hold and Spin and Free Spins, his value grows by collecting Title Deeds, and in Free Spins that growth also lifts the Megaways Win Multiplier. The Chance and Community Chest Cards add a degree of unpredictability that fits the board game source well. The €10,00 maximum bet limits its usefulness for high-stakes players, and the high volatility calls for patience. For players comfortable with both, it offers a well-thought-out bonus system and a 29,700x top prize.
