Playtech has prepared another branded slot of a rock band. After the release of Annihilator, Testament, Black Mamba, Demon and House of Doom, it’s time for Twisted Sister. The game will attract fans of the band and video slots. Its variety of intriguing features work in harmony.
Twisted Sister was released on the 4th of June 2020 and Playtech used a 6×6 grid with cluster pays mechanic for it. The cascades, a bonus game and plenty of modifiers will keep you glued to the screen and winning!
Twisted Sisters is a branded slot for the fans of the legendary band that never seems to go out of fashion. There are 6 reels and 6 rows with 36 symbols landing on each spin. The game uses the cluster pays mechanic. You will be rewarded for 5 or more symbols of a kind touching in a vertical or horizontal position. Winning symbols are removed from the grid and trigger an avalanche of new ones from above. The avalanches repeat as long as you keep winning and can be very lucrative.
You can play with wagers from 0.20 to £100 per spin. The volatility is medium and the RTP – 96.2%. The max win achievable per spin is 4,500 times your stake. There is a Guitar Meter that charges with wins from premium symbols and it is constantly active. When you have a minimum of 5 charges of the Meter, you can have one of the 3 Band Features triggered by chance. The Scream, Go Wild and Unite remove low-paying symbols and transform symbols.
The centre of attention in Twisted Sister is the We’re Not Gonna Take It feature. A major role in it plays the Angry Dad wild scatter and the 2×2 Mega Band symbols. You will win from the Guitar Meter, which is also active, and from the multiplier. The Dad Gets Angry feature gives you a second chance to trigger the bonus game.
The game is aimed at all fans of the highly successful and world-wide popular rock band. You will be saluted with the Twister Sister’s ‘I wanna rock’ hit playing throughout the rounds in the base game. You will see a large pink guitar to the left of the 6×6 grid. On both sides of the grid, there are speakers in white and blue. The background is also white. On top of the pink guitar on the left, you can see the Angry Dad symbol. All wins are displayed on a special board to the bottom right of the grid.
During the bonus game, you will listen to ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ song of the band on repeat, after which it is named. The total win at the end of the feature will be applauded by a huge audience. You will feel like in a live concert of the band. The reels are framed in grey-blue and have no border between them. You can see guitar picks in blue and purple, an LP, a purple Twister Sister badge and a record sleeve as symbols.
Here are also all band members as premiums. These are Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Eddie “Fingers” Ojeda, Anthony “A. J.” Pero and Mark “The Animal” Mendoza. The images are colourful and precise. The game merges you into Twisted Sister’s music and will definitely appeal to you if you are a fan.
The pay-table consists of 5 low-paying and 5 premium symbols of the 5 band members. There is a wild, wild scatter and a Mega Band symbol as well. Clusters formed of vertically or horizontally touching 5 or more matching symbols ensure wins. After they form, the winning symbols disappear. Then, new ones fill the empty spaces. These cascades continue to happen as you continue to create wins and stop once you fail to score a win.
The low-paying symbols include a record, stamp, LP and a guitar pick. The one in turquoise and the Twisted Sister logo in purple stamp pay equally. This ranges from 0.10 to 20 times your stake for clusters of 5 to 25 or more identical symbols in a spin. The record has a value of 0,15 to 30 times your bet for 5 to 25+ symbols in clusters. The guitar pick in pink returns 0.20 to 40 times your stake for 5 to 25 or more symbols in clusters. The symbol with the whole band pays from 0.25 to 50 times your stake for 5 to 25+ symbols.
The 5 members of the band are the premium symbols. These are the lead singer Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Eddie “Fingers” Ojeda, Mark “The Animal” Mendoza and Anthony “A. J.” Pero. Their payouts range from 0.50 to 100x, 0.60 to 120x and 0.75 to 150 times your stake for 5 to 25+ matching symbols. The most rewarding of all is, of course, the lead singer Dee Snider – landing 5 to 9 of it in a spin results in 1 to 5 times your stake. Hitting clusters of 10+ to 25+ of the vocal player return 10 to 250 times your bet.
The extra symbols include a wild in golden and red. It substitutes for all others except the Wild Scatter. It helps you score more wins. There is a 2×2 Mega Band symbol of all member that takes part in combinations with any of the 5 band member premiums. You can see during the bonus game only. It helps you increase and/or form more paying combinations with high-value symbols. The wild scatter is the Angry Dad symbol in a triangle. It is a double symbol that substitutes for all others and triggers the bonus game.
This branded slot is full of extras and modifiers. One of them is the Guitar Charge Meter, which is active at all times. Every time you get a win from any of the 5 band member premium symbols, you full the guitar by 1. The guitar can hold up to 15 charges. You see the colourful, fluorescent, giant guitar meter displayed to the left of the screen.
Several Band Features get triggered by chance. This happens if you have 5 charges on the Guitar Meter after the evaluation of all wins. You will have 5 charges deducted upon the activation of each band feature. One of the band members is chosen randomly for each Band Feature. Still, you can have a non-member to be selected if there are no band members on the reels.
The Band Features that can trigger after at least 5 charges of the Guitar Meter are the following:
Landing 4 Angry Dad wild scatters in a spin triggers the We’re Not Gonna Take It feature. Each extra landed wild scatter over 4 overcharges the Anger Meter. This increases the Win Multiplier by 1. The multiplier has a fixed value and it depends on the triggering number of wild scatters. It keeps its value for the whole We’re Not Gonna Take It feature.
During We’re Not Gonna Take It, you can land a 2×2 large Mega Band symbol. The mega symbol selects an Angry Dad wild scatter by chance. The Mega Band symbol moves towards the selected Angry Dad symbol until it lands next to it. Once the latter happens, the Angry Dad is removed from the grid.
The We’re Not Gonna Take It feature plays until you have Angry Dad symbols on the grid. It ends when there are no more of it left. The Mega Band symbol keeps moving to the Angry Dad symbol and leaves the grid with the last Angry Dad scatter. So, as long as you have at least 1 Angry Dad wild scatter, you will play the bonus game. This, on its side, depends on when the Mega Band symbol reaches the scatter.
You will have the Guitar Meter active during the bonus game, but the Mega Band symbol won’t add any charges to it. Yet, you can charge it with the premium band member symbols in winning combinations. The Mega Band and Angry Dad symbols do not drop down on following cascades during the bonus game.
There is a second chance feature that helps you trigger the bonus game called Dad Gets Angry. It can trigger on any losing spin and when this happens, 2 Angry Dad wild scatters will be added on the reels. This makes the odds of landing 3 more scatters and activating the We’re Not Gonna Take It feature higher.
Twisted Sister is a legendary band with a large fan-base. This Playtech slot themed after it includes a lot of features, bonus games and extras. They are bound to keep gamers winning and having a great time. The cascades, win multiplier, meter and the other modifiers can result in up to 4,500 times your stake per spin. If you like the band and/or the modifiers, give it a go. It is available to play right now!
